ABOUT KIRSTY | REVOLUTION NUTRITION
The therapist behind the practice
I'm Kirsty Groves — a registered nutritional therapist, and the founder of Revolution Nutrition. I bring both clinical training and lived experience to my work, because I believe the two together make for a better, more empathetic practitioner.
My story
Mother | Trail runner | Nature lover | Trauma survivor | Nutritional therapist
In my early thirties, during one of the most demanding periods of my life — studying full-time, processing significant trauma, and raising two young children alone — my body began to speak up. I developed IBS and psoriasis, both of which I now understand as my body's response to an overwhelming load.
It was a difficult and, at times, isolating experience. But it was also the beginning of something important.
"After qualifying in nutritional therapy, I began applying what I had learned to my own health. Over time, my psoriasis significantly improved and is now almost completely gone. My digestive symptoms resolved. And despite everything I navigated in those years, now in my mid-fifties, my metabolic health reflects the foundations I've built."
These experiences didn't just shape my health — they shaped the way I practise. When a client tells me they're exhausted by conflicting advice, frustrated by flares they can't predict, or struggling to make changes when life is already overwhelming, I understand that from the inside out.
That's not something you learn in a textbook. And it's something I carry into every consultation.
How I work
My approach blends evidence-informed nutritional therapy with health coaching — because understanding what to do is only half of it. The other half is actually making it happen in the context of a real, busy life.
Coaching & mindset
We set realistic goals together, and I support you with encouragement, accountability, and curiosity when things don't go to plan.
Integrative perspective
Nutrition, sleep, stress, movement, and environment — all of it matters, and all of it is considered.
Personalised plans
No generic protocols. Every plan is built around your health history, lifestyle, environment, and preferences.
Functional nutrition
I look beyond symptoms to explore what may be driving them — investigating root causes rather than managing surface-level signs.
Epigenetics & lifestyle
Our lived experiences and environment influence our health. I help you make adjustments that can meaningfully shift that picture over time.
Self-empowerment
I explain the reasoning behind every recommendation, so you leave our work together with tools and understanding that last beyond our sessions.
